FRENCH PUNK
French punk is punk rock from France. Punk rock developed in France in the mid-1970s, heavily influenced by scenes in the United States and the United Kingdom, but also influencing the latter. The first European Festival of Rock d took place in Mont-de-Marsan in France in August 1976.
1970
In the early 1970s, Les punkies, a Parisian subculture of Lou Reed fans, which had already become well established. Initially, two central figures were Marc Zermati, who had founded Skydog Records in Paris in 1972, the owners of the Mercado Abierto record store, and promoted American and British bands in France; and Michel Esteban, the owner of the Rock Cover Harry merchandise store and founder of the Rock News magazine, who had partnered with leading punk and new wave musicians in New York City. The first European Rock Festival, organized by Zermati, took place in Mont-de-Marsan on August 21, 1976, and featured French bands Bijou, Il BIARITZ and Shakin Street, as well as the condemned.
The 1980s and later
More and more punk rock groups appeared in France during the 1980s, such as Ludwig von 88 and Bérurier Noir. These bands are two of the most famous punk rock groups in France. Les Wampas appeared during the 1980s, but was more successful in the 2000s.
During the 1990s Noir Désir became one of the most famous French rock bands. His style is a mix between punk and grunge. The Mano Negra band was also very successful worldwide.
The extreme sports: BMX
The most popular extreme sports in France are skate and BMX. Every year an extreme sport competition called FISE is held in Montpellier, France. Montpellier is also the first city in France to host the 1998 Stakeboarding World Cup.
The movement of the film
France is the bar of cinema. It was the international gathering place for cinema artists since the invention of the film. France has contributed the most important movements of cultural threads, the most important movement being the New French Wave.
Cannes film festival.
Created in 1947, the Cannes festival is the most prestigious festival for international cinema worldwide. He showed the most controversial films of the World War era. The famous directors Roman Polanski. Ingmar Bergman, and Quentin Tarantino all participated in the competition and won an award. Today, if you want an intelligent and artistic film, repeat the films presented at Cannes.
